Pumpkin Carving Patterns

You can find many incredibly detailed, artistic pumpkin stencils for sale on the web, but most of them are too complex for the average person who has zero artistic skills. (I'm one of those people). Carving a fancy pumpkin not only takes some talent, but it also takes a fair amount of patience. (That's another thing I don't have an abundance of...patience).

For those of you like me, I've created some extremely simple, very basic, pumpkin carving designs that you can print out for free. They will print on a standard 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper and will be the right size for most pumpkins. However, if your pumpkin needs a larger or smaller pattern, simply reduce or enlarge the stencil on the nearest photocopier. (I usually ask someone who works in an office to sneakily do this for me). ;)

Once the pumpkin pattern is printed out, just tape it to your pumpkin, then use your carving knife to prick pinholes around the outline of the design. Remove the pattern, and just follow the dots with your knife to carve the pumpkin.

Tip: Carve on the flattest side of the pumpkin to make the process even easier.

Below are the three super-easy pumpkin patterns for you to download. Just right-click on a link, and choose Save Link As to save it to your desktop. Double-click on the .pdf you downloaded to open it in Adobe Reader (free). Then just print it out!
