It's very easy to make a scary Halloween prop that you can place on your front porch to scare the trick-or-treaters. For this prop, we'll create a stuffed man, who appears to have a bloody knife through his chest.
Start by placing the pants and shirt that your Halloween man will wear onto a chair or rocker on your porch. Have a pile of old clothes next to the chair that you'll use to stuff him with.
Now, just start stuffing the pants with some of the old clothes.
Button the shirt, tuck it into the pants, and start stuffing the shirt as well.
When you've finished stuffing your man, you can place the balloon (or pumpkin) at the neck of the shirt to serve as the man's head. You can tie a string from the balloon to the chair to keep it in place. We'll be covering the "head" and hiding it with a large floppy hat, so the head doesn't really have to look like a real head.
Adjust the body as needed to make it look a little more real, and then take your fake butcher knife, and place it in the chest area (between the buttons of the shirt). Make sure to use a fake knife, as you don't want little kids taking it out and hurting themselves with it!
Make more adjustments as needed.
Squirt ketchup (or fake blood) on the knife and on the man's chest around the knife.
Make final adjustments and enjoy your new Halloween prop - a scary dead man! That was an easy Halloween craft, now wasn't it?
You'll want to tidy up the clothing so it doesn't look as fake as these pics look, but this should give you the general idea. Have fun and decorate your front porch with this Halloween Man!
If you like this prop, we'd really appreciate it if you let others know about us too by Tweeting it or sharing on any of the services below. Thanks!
