Yes! My parents reluctantly agreed to let me throw a Halloween party this year! I could see that they were a little nervous about having a bunch of teens coming over on a night known for "tricks", but I convinced them that we were going to have fun, without causing trouble!
I know I'll have to make invitations first, and count up the number of people I'd like to invite. But before I start getting all jumbled up, I guess I'd better start putting my ideas for Halloween party on a list.
Wow ... that seems like a long list ... well, never mind I have ample time to think and decide on things. The invitations need to make an impact on my guests so instead of buying invitation cards in a shop, I think I am going to come up with my own invitation that I design myself.
Ok, now I need to come up with a Halloween theme ... I think I want to come up with some scary Halloween ideas for the theme. I will probably convert our garage to look like a haunted house, and then I can have puzzles to solve for people to get into each room. That way it will be fun and every one will be kept interested. The décor can have a lot of ghost cutouts and other characters that will sometimes help them solve the puzzles, and sometimes scare them away. It will be up to the guests to come up with solutions to get past the ghosts. Wow, my Halloween party ideas seem to be coming along in full form!
Good now, proceeding further, I need to come up with some Halloween party food ideas. What about a nice chocolate coffin cake, marshmallow ghosts, some spicy pumpkin bisque or pasta, and caramel apples ... ok sounds good but I think I'll ask my mom to help me on that, before I get completely carried away. :)
Since I have decided on a scary haunted house theme, I can work towards coordinating everything to match... invitations, decor, food, games and costumes.
All set! My Halloween party ideas are all coming together and I need to start getting busy working towards it ... time to get some folks involved ... so I'm off.
